Urban growth

The urban growth of Benahavis has been executed in an irresponsible and uncoordinated way.

Construction in Benahavis has always followed the laws and the general plan for the village which was approved by the Government of Andalusia. It seems quite a coincidence that this general plan was approved in 1992 when the socialist party were the governing party in our village.

As such, if there are any unwanted concentrations of built areas it can only be blamed on a lack of foresight and complete ignorance of the matter by the local P.SO.E. when they were governing at that time.

To correct all these deficiencies or unwanted errors as we want to see them, the governing team of the P.P is undertaking a complete revision of the general construction plan for Benahavis.

Due to legal reasons and the difficulties following the Regulation Plan for Andalusia to the letter, we have decided to submit immediately a request for reform and expansion of the village town centre in order not to paralyse the growth of our village and prevent the suspension of building licences for social housing at the same time.

What has been the contribution of the socialist party to the benefit of the village in our town hall? They have always voted against everything without bringing forward a constructive alternative.

We would like to point out that this request for reform and expansion of the village town centre is viewable by the public during two months and people who are interested can examine it and introduce or ask for changes they think appropriate.
